Xmind - mind mapping is my way to go when organizing thoughts, planning design, and features. I like the focus approach of this tool. While in other apps, mind mapping is just another feature, in Xmind, it's the only one polished to perfection.

So, the thread title sort of sounds like a promo / commercial for them, but that said - yes. I use them. I used them last night to create some visuals for an upcoming presentation and often use them to organize thoughts and knowledge on concepts. I've tried a number of things, but XMind is my favorite due to the usability factors in being able to quickly add sibling and child nodes. The other bells and whistles are nice, but for me it's all about the usability.

The graphical primitives and ergonomy are outstanding. I use it since more than 10 years, daily, as a basic tool for analyzing problems and projects. I have 3211 maps with several sheets inside,

I fall in love with Xmind in 2008 when I was student. Thanks to Xminde it makes it easy for me to untangle the cloud of thoughts when I want to shape an idea. Then I calmly enjoy how a project emerges, sometimes two or three. Xmind is my canvas where I throw everything before I make it happen or realize it's crazy.
